Tyneside Cinema Teachers Network

Our Teachers’ Network is open to all teachers and educators regardless of subject or age group, and aims to support teachers in finding the most efficient ways to include film screening and film making into their planning, both in and out of the classroom.

We hope to facilitate personal development, engagement, information sharing and positive practice through termly meetings and regular online communication around the theme of film as a valuable, accessible and adaptable teaching tool.

Our goal is to help make film more accessible, audience appropriate, enjoyable, engaging and educationally relevant.

Our next Teachers' Network event

Our next Teachers' Network event is on Thursday 14 June and is themed around fundraising for schools and colleges to support filmmaking activity.

We'll be sharing and discussing tips and tricks for fundraising, what potential fundraising sources to approach and looking together at which fundraising channels and organisations are out there to support film-based activity in schools.

No previous fundraising experience is required, and as usual we’ll leave plenty of time for questions and discussion over drinks and nibbles.

As ever places are FREE but places should be reserved in advance as we have limited space - please email filmschool@tynesidecinema.co.uk or call 0191 227 5508 to book your place.

Please let us know in advance if you'd like to speak briefly about any specific fundraising issues, successes or challenges you've faced.
