Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 Filmmaking Workshop: Adaptation

Bring Shakespeare to life through your own film adaptation

What does it take to make a film from a Shakespeare play? Maybe you'd like to see Macbeth as a film noir, or Romeo and Juliet interpreted as a war movie?

In our Adaptation workshop students work together in small groups to plan, shoot and edit a short film based on key moments from the original text.

You’re guided through the process by our team of professional filmmakers and provided with up to three shootable scripts on the day - all abridged scenes from the plays adapted into a variety of different film genres.

This workshop can be optimised for Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

Topics:

  • Romeo and Juliet

Please contact us using the form below if you would like to enquire about arranging a workshop for different Shakespearean play.
