If you're dreaming of a White Christmas then you're in luck, because the classic festive musical starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera Ellen is coming back to Tyneside Cinema this December for a Dementia Friendly Cinema screening.
Singers Bob Wallace (Crosby) and Phil Davis (Kaye) join sister act Betty (Clooney) and Judy Haynes (Vera-Ellen) to perform a Christmas show in rural Vermont. There, they run into Gen. Waverly (Dean Jagger), the boys' commander in World War II, who, they learn, is having financial difficulties; his quaint country inn is failing. So what's the foursome to do but plan a yuletide miracle: a fun-filled musical extravaganza that's sure to put Waverly and his business in the black!
An unabashedly sentimental Christmas favourite that is too cheerful to resist.
This screening is part of Dementia Friendly Cinema, our popular screening programme for people with dementia and their families and carers.
Tickets are just £4.50 per person and carers go free.
