Love, Simon

Tyneside Cinema and The Late Shows are teaming up to present a special Twilight (after school) screening of this year’s must-see coming of age comedy Love, Simon.

Seventeen-year old Simon Spier (Jurassic World’s Nick Robinson) is waiting for the right moment to tell his family and friends that he’s gay. When an anonymous classmate comes out online, Simon starts emailing him, not just as a way of talking about all the feelings and emotions he is going through, but also to finally try and have his own great love story. Yet the more Simon tries to discover the identity of this stranger the more it forces him to try harder and harder to prevent people finding out his own big secret.

Based on Becky Albertalli's acclaimed novel, Love, Simon feels both fresh yet sweetly familiar, creating a funny and heartfelt coming-of-age story that perfectly reflects our time.
