The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Pulled from the dusty collections of the Tyneside team, see the late Tobe Hooper’s masterpiece of horror on VHS, the format it was long banned from in the UK as one of the most notorious of the ‘Video Nasties’.

The ground-breaking film, based on the real life crimes of Ed Gein sees a road trip into the heart of Texas take a grisly turn as a group of friends stumble upon a rundown farmhouse. There they run afoul of a whole family of murders, including the huge hulking figure of Leatherface the chainsaw wilding maniac who shares his family’s penchant for the delicacies of human flesh.

Who will survive the screening and what will be left of them?
