Summer Schools 2017: Animation

Join us for an exciting adventure this summer at Tyneside Cinema!

Our Summer Schools offer brilliant opportunities for young people aged 8-16 to get hands-on experience in film and animation.

Our Animation Summer School gives you the skills to devise and create a short stop-frame animation, and is great for beginners as well as those with prior experience.

Over the week participants work in small groups to animate, develop characters and ideas, record sound and edit, all at our dedicated Pop Up Film School just across the road from Tyneside Cinema. On the final day there’s a mini-world-premiere of all the work made that week for friends and family to enjoy.
