Originally from Sweden, and now based in the North East of England, Cecilia Stenbom's powerful film work focuses on media-saturated, consumer-driven everyday environments, and the affect these have on human response, identity, behaviour and interaction.
This free screening presents Stenbom’s new film, Rules of Engagement, which tells the stories of Jack, Robin and Nadia through a mixture of dramatic re-enactment, and a chamber play of encounter and emotion, exploring the innate human desire to ‘belong’.
Rules of Engagement will be screened alongside four of Stenbom’s other short films, and will be followed by a Q&A hosted by Writer & Film Critic Michael Pattison.
