DATES, TIMES AND LOCATION

Our next Rough Cut evening is on Thursday 18 January 2018, 18:00-20:00. Our artists will include:

Rachel Brook. Dreamer, adventurer, time traveller. A maker of moving pictures, a surreal documentarian, a cinephile, a painter, a narcoleptic. She dreams while she is awake and is awake while she dreams. Rachel hallucinates her way through her own version of the world creating aesthetic nightmares and vivid dreams. Her route is strewn with natural light, dense shadows and a bleak sense of morbid humour.

Michael Mulvihill, artist currently undertaking a practice led research PhD through AHRC Northern Bridge Doctoral Training Partnership at Newcastle University producing art work that considers the way nuclear weapons have influenced and structure the way we experience our social and cultural environment. Michael's work is being realised through an artist residency at RAF Fylingdales, a Ballistic Missile Early Warning Station operating under the umbrella of the USAF 21st Space Wing.

Rough Cut evenings take place monthly in Tyneside Cinema's Gallery space.
