Newcastle Gateshead Cultural Venues are working together on the first Green Week, from Saturday 9 – Sunday 17 September 2017. The week aims to raise awareness of environmental issues, and will focus on five main areas: paper, water, food waste, energy and travel.
Whether you take inspiration from revolting recycled recipes at Seven Stories, use upcycled materials to create a cardboard dinosaur at Life Science Centre or learn about climate change here at the Tyneside Cinema – there’ll be activities and events throughout Newcastle Gateshead for all ages.

As part of Green Week we are asking the public to share ideas about how venues and visitors can be greener. People can enter the NGCV prize draw with prizes to be won for the best ideas, including free tickets to some great shows and activities, shopping vouchers and family passes.
