Following a three-month residency with Tyneside Cinema, recent graduate Georgia Bates will present her new film Mother of the Mountain.
Georgia has been working in the Northumberland landscape and with local women's groups to make a film which addresses issues surrounding motherhood, childlessness and ageing.
The screening will include a conversation between Georgia and artist Kathryn Elkin, which will be followed by a reception to which everyone is invited.
Our Graduate Artist in Residence programme is a partnership with Northumbria University.
Please note: this film addresses issues that some audience members may find challenging relating to the loss of children and domestic violence. We have attached an advisory certificate of 12A to the event.
This event is part of Projections; a programme of artists' moving image, live events and artist development at Tyneside Cinema.
