American Psycho

"I like to dissect girls. Did you know I'm utterly insane?"

Female Trouble. An amazing selection of iconic chillers by female directors will be playing all night in the Electra continuing with Mary Harron’s superb adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis's controversial novel, featuring a beautifully insane lead performance from Christian Bale.

There is an idea of a Patrick Bateman; some kind of abstraction. A wealthy New York investment banking executive who hides a violent alternate psychopathic ego that is spiralling out of control. Even though to his co-workers and friends, he seems like a normal member of the social elite... he simply is not there.
