Proof of any and all concessions must be presented at the cinema before entering the performance or you may be charged the full price of admission/refused entry.
In accordance with our licensing agreement with Newcastle City Council all our film classification decisions are based on BBFC guidelines. The customer must agree to adhere to these film ratings and the cinema reserves the right to challenge any customer for proof of age for any screening or event & will refuse entry to a film or event to any customer who is unable to provide a valid form of ID when challenged.
Admittance to our Bringing in Baby Screenings is only for adults with a baby under two years old. For our Children’s Film Club screenings admittance is only allowed for adults over 15 when accompanying a child. If you do not wish to miss any part of a performance we advise you to arrive so that you can be seated at the time listed on your ticket. Please bear in mind there may be queues for busier screenings. Once a performance has started, latecomers will be admitted at the discretion of the duty management team.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they have purchased the correct tickets for the performance they wish to attend. Please contact our Box Office as soon as possible and in advance of the event if you believe an error has been made, otherwise it may not be possible to correct.
We will always endeavour to ensure that performances will take place in accordance with the advertised programme, and provide plenty of notice in the event of any changes we are in aware of in advance. However, we reserve the right to cancel a performance, substitute an alternative film, or vary the timings if forced to do so by circumstances beyond our control.
If a performance is cancelled or its timing changed substantially, Tyneside Cinema’s liability will be restricted at our discretion, to the refund of the cost of the ticket(s) purchased, or to provide replacement tickets of similar value to another performance at the cinema.
Tyneside Cinema reserves the right to request all visitors to leave the venue at any point on reasonable grounds (including but not limited to health and safety concerns, aggressive behaviour, or if we believe other customers' security or enjoyment is at risk). Ticket holders agree to adhere to any safety announcements and venue regulations when attending.
All visitors to the cinema must agree to treat all our staff and fellow customers with respect and courtesy. The management reserve the right to refuse entry to the building and demand a customer leaves the premises if this is not adhered to, without giving a refund.
All ticket types and discounts are subject to availability, and can be changed and/or withdrawn without prior notice, and do not apply to tickets that have already been purchased. Tyneside Cinema reserves the right to introduce special offers or any price changes without prior notice.
Unfortunately we do not accept American Express online or at the Cinema itself.
Any unauthorised use of recording equipment of any kind (including mobile phones and tablets) is not permitted at all. If you are caught you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund & the proper authorities will be informed.
All mobile phones, pagers, alarms or other noise making items must be switched off or turned to silent before the start of the performance.
Ticket holders who may have any special requirements or concerns about a performance must inform the cinema in advance.
When making a booking with us your personal information is stored on the computerised Box Office system. By making a booking you consent to your personal information being stored in accordance with the Data Protection Acts. We may also use and disclose anonymous aggregate booking information (excluding credit card details) with external agencies (e.g Arts Council England) for the purpose of analysis and research. Tyneside Cinema will take all reasonable steps to ensure the security of data within this process.Tickets are sold subject to the Data Protection Act 1998 and any subsequent amendments.
Please note that all Tyneside Cinema Gift Cards expire one year from issue date.
