The work to restore and extend this amazing building has been made possible through the generous support of our friends and donors and we are very grateful. But that’s just the start of the story.
Now the redevelopment is complete, we once again need your help. The building will take a lot of looking after to make sure that it is properly protected and kept in superb condition for future generations to enjoy.
As a charity, we rely on the generosity of our patrons to enable us to preserve this unique and iconic north east building. All contributions, large or small, really can make a huge difference.

Contribute a regular gift to the Appeal
Contribute a regular gift to the Appeal by signing up for a standing order. Just download our donation form, complete it and then return it to us. You can also telephone the Box Office on 0845 217 9909 for further information.
Why regular gifts? Simply because this makes it easier for you to contribute without digging deep all at one time, and because it provides a regular flow of income which is enormously helpful in helping us plan for our future.
Make a one off donation to the Appeal
To make a one off donation to the Tyneside Cinema Appeal you can either download our donation form which contains all the information you need to be able to donate by cash, cheque or credit card. Alternatively, you can donate online via our secure service by clicking on the donation button below. This will take you to a secure donations page hosted by the Charities Aid Foundation.
Don’t forget to Gift Aid!
If you are a UK Taxpayer then you can Gift Aid your donation and increase its value to the Cinema with the Chancellor refunding the tax you have paid! You must have paid sufficient UK tax this year on income and capital gains to equal the tax deducted from your donation.

The Tyneside Cinema is offering you the unique opportunity of leaving your mark on the new Tyneside by dedicating a seat. Dedicating a seat makes an ideal gift for a friend or loved one or could be the perfect way to commemorate a special occasion for someone you love. Or you could just say how much you love the Tyneside Cinema! Dedicating a seat costs £150 and all donations go towards the Tyneside Cinema Appeal.
For each seat that you dedicate you will receive:
- A personalised plaque attached to the seat bearing your message (be it a name, date or even your favourite film quote)
- A personalised naming certificate
- Acknowledgement of your support on our website
How to dedicate a seat
To dedicate a seat, please download and complete our Seat Dedication form and return it to: Take a Seat, Tyneside Cinema, 10 Pilgrim Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 6QG. Alternatively, please call the Box Office on 0845 217 9909, email the Box Office, or pick up a Seat Dedication leaflet from our Box Office.
