Language Café

Talk about classic foreign films in their native tongue

Join us at Language Café, where a free, informal chat will take place after an early evening screening of an international hit. Based in the friendly atmosphere of the Tyneside Bar, staff and students from the universities of Newcastle and Northumbria will be in attendance to help get you started, and provide those bits of vocabulary you just can’t remember from your classroom days!

Language Café is for everyone, so whether you are a native speaker, or studying the language for fun, come along to one of our Language Cafés and have the chance to watch a great film and be inspired to chat about it afterwards. All in a foreign language, and with some suitably themed refreshments available from the bar!
