Geocaching is modern-day treasure hunting using GPS devices. Jonathan Lozinski from Mere Mortals will introduce this increasingly-popular pastime, and explain how to use your mobile phone or GPS to make weird and wonderful discoveries about where you live.

Groups will then go out to explore the city, getting to grips with this exciting new way of experiencing both urban and rural environments. Geocaching is suitable for people of all ages, and is highly addictive too!

“The odd and magical-in-the-mundane quality of Geocaching allowed me to experience the city in new ways – and surely that reflects one of the great joys of learning – seeing new worlds.” Joseph Raymond, Newcastle, reflecting on the first Geocaching event

When booking, please choose from one of the four dates and leave your contact details with the box office, letting us know what model of mobile phone you have, or if you have a GPS device.

Entry: £1
